Neurodiversity

Neurodiversity covers the plurality of neurological conditions. By extension, it also describes the opposition against any pathologization of mental and cognitive differences. But, for the APHP psychiatrist Jean-Victor Blanc, care should still be made not to fall into a form of romanticisation about mental illnesses (such as the idea that they are just a different, poetic way of seeing the world). The point is rather to change the way society views these illnesses (you should not be excluded just because you are ill). Art can be a great help in transforming such representations.
